The school exceeded my expectations by far with excellent teachers, a well-balanced schedule and nice environment.
You will most probably find TTC in India to be quite different from TTC in the west, but if you are looking for comprehension of the roots of yoga, then this is where you need to be. You’ll be surprised how it makes you push your own limits in the most positive way with the support of teachers and fellow students.
I recommend everyone who considers taking a TTC to take it at Rishikesh Yog Peeth!

The school exceeded my expectations by far with an excellent team of teachers, a well thought through schedule and by making you feel at home. It’s such a cliche but it truly is a life changing experience. Don’t get me wrong you will always be the same person after all only you can change yourself or allow change to happen to you. However it’s like your are taken apart into your smallest parts right down to the molecular level then piece by piece you get turned upside down, cleansed and put back together to make you whole again. Same, Same but Different.
The 6 weeks passed way to quickly and as for the course it was well structured and the time was just right. Whether you are a total beginner or a practiced yoga student you will learn so, so much.
I loved that the course started right at the beginning assuming nothing of your previous experience or lack thereof. The teachers walk you right through all the beginners moves up to some more challenging poses. Each class was different and the two teachers where a beautiful contrast to each other (in the best possible way) showing different facets of teaching and approaching yoga in general. I enjoyed each and every class, I even started to like some of the poses I tend to avoid in my own practice. However it is still an intense course and depending on your fitness levels you may struggle a little but the rewards you gain are worth it.
In addition to the physical Asana education you are also taught philosophy and anatomy. You will gain an insight into Yogic Philosophy which allows you to emerge into the yogic world even further. The philosophy classes will help you reevaluate your views and perceptions of the world while the Anatomy classes will help you to deepen your understanding of your Asana poses.
Overall it was a magic time and I can only recommend everyone looking for TTC training to come to Rishikesh and take it at yoga school Rishikesh Yog Peeth. It will become your home away from home!

Permalink Reply by Vendula Brozova on September 24, 2012 at 8:46pm Just finished the August 2012 course.
It was the most mind-blowing and body and soul discovering experience. I truly recommend it to anyone who is on the journey of discoveries. Full on five hour practice a day opens energy centers, clears out any blockages and rejuvenates body and mind .. and more :-). The complete philosophy lectures may challenge ones view on humans and society, and world then seems a better place :-). Anatomy knowledge gets always handy .. and the food is heavenly. I have never experienced so much joy and intense emotions within quite a short period of time.
I wish everyone could experience it.
Thank you all.
Miss you.
Namaste.

Permalink Reply by Maria Luz Jimenez L on March 20, 2013 at 8:29pm My interest in becoming a yoga teacher started in September 2011 so did my research about where to do it. I studied the option of doing it in Canada -where I was living at the moment- or in India. Someone recommended to look for courses in Rishikesh who was the Spiritual Capital of Yoga. I followed the recommendation and focused my research in Rishikesh. I found a bunch of schools including Rishikesh Yog Peeth.
When I first contacted the school, I liked very much that their response was fast and full of information. I had the chance to follow their website for a couple of months before making my decision. They were always helpful with all the questions I had. I finally singed up to do my training in June-July 2012.
I booked the transportation service from the airport to Rishikesh with them. They sent me all the instructions about how to identify the driver and everything went out smoothly. He was very nice. When I got to the hotel I was very satisfied with the installations. It was clean and comfortable and the staff was amazing. All of them were very kind and respectful.
About Roshan and Sanjay, I can say I could not have had better teachers. They are two wonderful human beings who are not afraid to show their true self in order to help the students find themselves. They both have a loving non judgemental attitude. They share their thoughts and perspective in a very respectful way, they show you their opinion and give you the opportunity to share yours. I just love them and miss their guidance and presence very much.
The structure of the course was excellent. In regards of the the yoga practice -asanas- I loved that it started slow and the intensity increased with the days... I had time to get used to the environment and to do 3 hours of practice daily.
Through the whole experience of exercise, philosophy, healthy eating and a positive and loving atmosphere my body and my soul went through an amazing transformation.
In the risk of sound cheese, it was an experience that transformed my life. I was able to rediscover many things about myself, I had the opportunity to transform beliefs that were not serving me anymore, I was able to experience true forgiveness and I learned how to truly open my heart and work from there. I loved my experience and I hope I can go back on day.
I truly and fully recommend Rishikesh Yog Peeth to anyone who is looking to deepen their knowledge about yoga, about themselves and about life.
Namaste ♥
