Cool! I'll see you in Rishikesh next year then.

Hi Diane,

I am still a beginner and I don't meditate! I did just buy a guided meditation by Jon Kabat-Zinn though so I am going to try harder. I am also planning to do as much yoga as possible till Feb as I want to make sure I'm as ready as I can be!

I would love to arrive a few days before but I am working full time so I can only take the 6 weeks off. I haven't actually told work yet as I don't think its going to go down well! I am planning on taking all my annual leave and take 2 weeks unpaid.

Hi Charity and Taylor!! :)

Hi Heather!

You are going to do great! I haven't practiced in a few weeks because I injured my shoulder. Hoping to get back on the mat next week :-) I'll have to look into those guided meditations. What do you think so far? Lots of luck with work! They can't bitch if it's your vacation time((fingers crossed!)).

Hi Charity and Taylor!!! Can't wait to meet you guys in February. How lucky that you get to do the 500 hours all at once!

How is everyone enjoying the summer (or winter) going so far? Hope everyone has a beautiful weekend!

Hi Jane, Taylor, Heather and Diane!

So sorry for getting back so late - life is crazy right now, but things are slowly falling into place. I live in Philadelphia, I work with cancer patients on a clinical trial and I'm looking to implement yoga into my biomedical career someday. There is so much evidence out there supporting the benefits of yoga on the immune system and overall mental health :) I love it!

You all sound amazing and I am excited to share this experience with you :) I've only been practicing yoga for the past two years -vinyasa, hatha, and forest yoga. Vinyasa is by far my favorite! Don't worry Heather, I feel like a beginner at times to. I do a lot of running so I tend to counter the flexibility I gain from practicing yoga. I guess I will just have to do more yoga! That shouldn't be too hard ;)

I see a couple of you are doing the 500 hour training. I would have loved to do that but you need a 200 hour pre-requisite. Jane and Taylor, are you doing the 200 followed by the 500?

Heather, I am a hug fan of Jon Kabat-Zinn. I haven't been as diligent with meditating but I do try to be more mindful of my breath, especially during yoga (of course lol). He's done a couple of retreats at the Omega center in New York.

I'm definitely thinking about arriving Feb 1st or a few days earlier to give my self some time to adjust to the time zone and culture. Let me know if anyone is interested in meeting up somewhere.

I am sort of treating this a personal retreat as well as a training, so I will be ready to embrace whatever comes!

Hope you guys are having a good day/evening and I look forward meeting and practicing the art of yoga with you all!

Hi Charity. They told me that the 500 hour course is simply the 200 hour course followed by 300 additional hours. It really confused me at first, but if you look at the dates it seems to overlap.

Halo everyone!

I am very happy to get to know you all. ;-)

I am planning also for 500TTC training, but still I do not know if going on february or april 2014.  I think is better in February because in may or june there is the moonson and there is a lot of rain, no?

Are you going to pick up a taxi to go to Rishikesh from the airport?

When and what time are you arriving at Dehli Airport?

Maybe we could share a taxi between us, unless to avoid 6-8 of being alone.

I really look forward to meet you all,

Hi everyone! I am super excited to meet you all in February 2014 (seriously counting down the months!). I have traveled abroad before but never alone and am honestly a little intimidated by the process. I am curious about when you all are planning on getting in and where exactly. I would love to travel with a yoga buddy. I am looking into flights now but am at a weird place in life because I have no clue where my husband and I are going to be living come January 2014. We are grad students who are *fingers crossed* finishing in December and with my husbands career, we could be anywhere. Hopefully by late August we will have an idea of where we will be living and I can book my flight. With all that said, if it can be arranged to meet up with someone and travel together that would really be awesome. Maybe get into India around the same time/day and travel through to Rishikesh together and split a taxi or whatever we decide. I know the two days before are complimentary so I am totally up to getting there early. Let me know what you all think. Like I said, I am super excited about this and look forward to meeting you guys! (I am just slightly anxious about traveling alone.)

Hi all,

Diane, I'm so bad I haven't even attempted to meditate since I got the CD!

Charity, wow sounds like you are doing something really rewarding and beautiful.

You all seem like really interesting people! I bet we are going to share a wonderful experience with each other and hopefully make long lasting friendships!

Solida, Don't worry darlin! You are not alone! I'm sure that nearer the time we will all arrange it so that everyone has someone to share a taxi with when we arrive to get to Rishikesh.

I'm reading Shantaram at the moment which has really got me into the feeling of being in India again! And London finally has some sunshine too! Masala Chai, ali baba pants and yoga here we come!!

Hi All,

I am excited and nervous, I guess as all of you.

I wanted to ask you, are you going to put any vaccination to go to India? I read the website from the foreigner affairs of my country, and they recommend to put several. I do not know if this is necessary.

On the other hand, are you going to contract an international health insurance? This was also a point that they stress the importance.

Solida, I have also the same fears as you. If you want we can share the taxi together if we manage to coordinate the times. Or we can arrange it as a group as Charlotte wrote. I think is very good idea.

Did you already pay the reservation?

Thanks in advance for the feedback,
