RYS 200, 300, 500 in Rishikesh
”Jenny… how many gallons of oil does it take to run a galaxy?”. My master is looking expectantly at me with blue eyes, playful as a child’s. I start laughing and he starts laughing as well. Why aren’t apples growing around Christmas? Why do flowers blossom when they do? I come to him with a head full of why and how and I always end up leaving with blissful ignorance. Some things are my business, my responsibility… other things are God’s business and God’s…Continue

I find it ironic that the infinite always inhabits the finite. We are infinite consciousness living vicariously through this finite gross body. The profound moments are those where we realize our infinite nature, everlasting peace, and complete unity with everything around us. Even the things we cannot see with the naked eye, from the stars and galaxies to microorganisms, are nothing but us in other forms. The learning never stops once you’ve opened yourself to everything around you. Every experience in everyday teaches you just a bit more, about yourself, others, and life. The time flies when you’re having fun; I can’t believe week two of training is winding down to a close. Although this time has gone by at what seems light speed, I feel like I’ve been here a long time. I think it’s because of the comfort I’ve been able to find here despite how foreign it all started out being. I never cease to be amazed. By the beauty of this place, the people I talk to, the things I learn, my whole environment really. It seems impossible to go an hour without learning something new, whether it is about an asana, the pranayama, philosophies, or myself. This only makes me think about how much I will have learned 5 weeks from now, and that’s a beauty in itself. Wow.
When I came here I was nervous about leaving all that I ever known behind me. Leaving…

Yoga teacher training in India at yoga school Rishikesh Yog Peeth - RYS 200, RYS 500.
One of my lifelong dreams has been to come to India, and it is incredible to actually be sitting here now. I still have trouble realizing where exactly I am on the globe, and when I do, it’s the most enlivening feeling I’ve ever experienced. I was drawn to Rishikesh Yog Peeth to get my yoga teacher training certificate because I wanted a true yoga immersion that…Continue
