Yoga teacher training in India at yoga school Rishikesh Yog Peeth - RYS 200, RYS 500.
One of my lifelong dreams has been to come to India, and it is incredible to actually be sitting here now. I still have trouble realizing where exactly I am on the globe, and when I do, it’s the most enlivening feeling I’ve ever experienced. I was drawn to Rishikesh Yog Peeth to get my yoga teacher training certificate because I wanted a true yoga immersion that would allow me to live and breath yoga on a daily basis. When I found it after researching many programs from all different places, I knew it was the one that was right for me. The next step was filling out the application, which was rather simple to do, and I was ecstatic when I found out I was going to come here. The school was great with keeping in contact, as well as informing me of what I needed to know before I arrived.
When I landed in Delhi, they had arranged a car to pick up two others and myself who had similar landing times, and off to Rishikesh we went. I was relieved to have that service provided for me, otherwise it may have made for a very long night. But I’m here now, and I couldn’t be any happier. So far, I’m only in the transition stage of adjusting to a new country and familiarizing myself with my surroundings, but I am very excited to start classes on Monday. The people here are so kind, the food is DELICIOUS, and I couldn’t ask for better accommodations.
Overall, I’m very happy with my choice to come and spend the next six weeks here. I was curious as to who else I would be meeting in my course, and have found that we come from all walks of life and from all over the world. It’s amazing how much you can find in common with complete strangers sometimes. Traveling the surrounding areas are unlike anything I’ve ever seen, but I have quickly learned to love the chaos wrapped around simplicity. It’s definitely a different way of life than what I have ever experienced; but hey, there’s no one way to happiness. This city has taught me a lot about true needs without the excess, and it’s a relieving feeling. I can’t believe how lucky I am to be able to be here and study yoga from its birthplace. The area is simply gorgeous, from the panoramic view of the Himalayan Mountains to the flowing Ganges River. This is the experience I had been looking for. This is Rishikesh.
